Job Summary

Provide senior financial and operational management support within HSBC’s Risk & Compliance (R&C) CoE, enabling second-line oversight and driving operational excellence. Partner with the Global R&C CAO team to manage resource planning, forecast costs and FTEs, oversee third-party and consultancy spend, and coordinate operating plans and cost-savings. Lead and develop a team, deliver management information for decision-making, and act as de facto deputy to the Head CAO CoE India.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with the Global R&C CAO team to oversee financial management and performance for assigned lines of business and global sub-functions.
•Develop, track, and analyze functional resource planning and workforce plans, and challenge direct and indirect cost performance.
•Review, approve, and track consultancy and third-party spend; coordinate operating plans and implement cost-saving actions.
•Lead and manage direct reports, ensuring performance management, talent management, and succession planning.
•Provide consistent management information on business performance and act as de facto deputy to the Head CAO CoE India in their absence.

Key Requirements

•High degree of expertise in business management with considerable experience in financial and business planning in an international banking environment or within HSBC.
•Strong understanding of the external banking environment and the HSBC Group Operating Model across global businesses.
•Strong awareness of internal control and operational risk environment, including the purpose, values, culture, and framework of Risk & Compliance.
•Demonstrated success in budgetary and resource management, financial planning, and executive reporting.
•Experience leading high-performing teams in a matrix environment and managing customer and stakeholder issues.
