Key Responsibilities

•Provide scientific leadership and strategic direction for the Medicinal Chemistry team in London, delivering projects to clinical candidate nomination.
•Direct line management and strategic oversight for a growing team of ~25 Medicinal Chemists, setting goals and fostering a high-performance culture.
•Champion an AI-first approach and ensure chemists are empowered to apply AI tools in collaboration with AI/ML scientists.
•Collaborate with Chemistry, Computational Drug Design, Biology and Pre-Clinical Development to accelerate pace to the clinic.
•Represent the company externally and manage CRO resources to maintain high-quality, rapid delivery.

Key Requirements

•PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or a related technical field, or equivalent industrial experience.
