Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as an ID Card/Common Access Card (CAC) customer service specialist for the Navy ICA program at DEERS/RAPIDS sites.
  • •Verify identity and eligibility of authorized DoD beneficiaries and issue DoD identification cards, performing DEERS updates in accordance with regulations.
  • •Operate and maintain RAPIDS workstations; process CACs and assist customers with identification card eligibility, application requirements, and DEERS inquiries.
  • •Accomplish DEERS enrollment and updates, reconcile erroneous DEERS data, perform PIN resets, and verify/update PKI certificates.
  • •May serve as a Verifying Official (VO) on DEERS/RAPIDS terminals and support “User Maintenance” on RAPIDS equipment.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •1+ years’ experience in a customer service environment.
  • •HR background in Military Pay, Military Personnel, Travel Claims or Navy Transportation (or equivalent similar experience in private sector or other Federal Agency).
  • •Proficient oral and written communication to explain complex military entitlements, allowances, and collections.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 (NACLC) security investigation.
