Job Summary

Lead electrical engineering design and leadership for multi-site renewable energy projects (solar PV, energy storage) across Buffalo, NY and additional US locations. Drive DC/LV/MV system design, protection and control integration, and adherence to NEC/IEEE/NESC standards while guiding multidisciplinary teams through due diligence, permitting, design, procurement, and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide ownership and guidance with electrical design data collection, analysis, and NFPA (NEC)/IEEE/NESC standards for small- to mid-scale renewable energy projects.
•Coordinate, review and approve electrical infrastructure design plans for smaller and complex projects, ensuring data integrity and compliance with codes and regulations.
•Apply electrical engineering techniques to improve infrastructure project phases from concept to operation, including procurement and construction.
•Design and review single-line and three-line diagrams, cable schedules, grounding, and power distribution in conformance with applicable standards.
•Plan for future-ready equipment sizing, AC/DC systems, and panel design to ensure safety and functionality for end-users.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
•7 + years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for renewable energy projects at distribution, utility, industrial, or commercial scale.
•Possess Professional Engineer license or obtainable within 1 year.
•Proficient with electrical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
•Extensive knowledge of electrical interconnection design.
