Job Summary

Manufacturing Engineer specializing in coating processes for aerospace applications, supporting core manufacturing engineering and external suppliers. Key Responsibilities

•Provide Manufacturing Engineering support as a subject-matter expert for coating processes (Air Plasma Spray, HVOF, Wire Spray, Anti-Gal, Sermatel, and other aerospace coatings).
•Collaborate with the Coating Fellow to drive PW Coating Process Council initiatives and improve standard work.
•Develop and implement new coating technologies and lead related capital equipment projects.
•Partner with coating sites and suppliers to develop PFMEAs and process control plans for MRL progression of high-risk processes.
•Lead efforts to reduce scrap, rework, repairs, and coating-related quality escapes.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, or a related technical field.
•10+ years of manufacturing engineering and shop operations experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
•5+ years of hands-on technical experience in thermal spray coating processes.
•Experience programming Fanuc/ABB robots and CNC systems used in thermal spray booths.
•Proficiency with CAD/CAM and 3D modeling tools
