Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the technical direction, evolution, and maintenance of core Modelling, Rigging, and Surfacing pipelines and workflows.
  • •Troubleshoot pipeline/workflow issues and develop well-maintainable tools and code to support artists and creative objectives.
  • •Track, debug, and resolve workflow issues in partnership with Lead TDs, Technical Supervisors, Associate Technical Supervisors, Solutions Engineers, and R&D.
  • •Drive QA, technical testing, and validation for new technology, tool releases, and pipeline changes without impacting artist workflows.
  • •Provide technical guidance to other TDs/TAs and mentor more junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of pipeline TD experience in large-scale animated features, animated TV series, gaming, and/or VFX feature films.
  • •Solid production/industry experience as a TD.
  • •Strong understanding of OpenUSD (composition and Hydra) and its architecture.
  • •Comprehensive experience troubleshooting Maya and Houdini and their APIs, including asset publishing and validation.
  • •Strong Python development skills (PyQt/PySide); C++ and ShotGrid knowledge are pluses.
