Key Responsibilities

  • •Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for Mexico legal entities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, payroll-related entries, cash activity, and AP/AR and other general ledger transactions.
  • •Prepare and post accurate journal entries using correct general ledger, legal entity, business unit, cost center, profit center, and functional area structures.
  • •Prepare balance sheet reconciliations; investigate aged, unusual, or unsupported balances; identify root causes; and propose resolutions.
  • •Perform actual-to-budget and actual-to-forecast variance analysis for income statement and balance sheet activity, and communicate trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • •Manage intercompany activities and support audits/SOX and Mexico statutory and tax compliance, including VAT reporting and refund processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • •At least 2 years of progressive experience in accounting, controllership, audit, or a related finance discipline.
  • •Well-developed knowledge of general ledger accounting, period-end close, journal entries, accruals, accounts payable, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • •Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and prepare complex reconciliations and variance analyses.
  • •Good understanding of accounting and finance processes including Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report.
