Job Summary

Verify production processes and packaging to support food safety and sanitation standards, including documentation, inventory control, and release of hold product. Monitor production lines and paperwork for specification compliance, enforce GMPs, and confirm labels, lot codes, and packaging are correctly applied. Perform microbiological swabs and samplings, assist with day-to-day quality issues, and follow all company, NCC Animal Welfare, and applicable local/state/federal policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Verify production processes, packaging, and operational sanitation while maintaining proper documentation and inventory control.
•Monitor lines and daily paperwork to ensure product specifications are met and correct deficiencies in a timely manner.
•Verify GMP compliance and confirm labels, lot codes, bags, boxes, and pallets are correctly adhered, printed, sealed, and stacked.
•Verify receiving of incoming raw materials and ingredients and notify relevant leaders/QA if items do not meet specifications.
•Perform microbiological swabs and samplings at the correct times and positions, supporting follow-through on all quality and food safety procedures.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 1 year experience in quality assurance or 6 months as a Wayne Farms employee.
•Intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and computer skills.
•Strong attention to detail.
•Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written) with internal and external customers in a timely, professional manner.
•High school diploma or equivalent.
