Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide system administration support for Linux, including installing software, applying patches, managing file systems, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting alerts.
  • •Perform problem detection, diagnosis, and recovery for operating system, server, hardware, and application issues, including system failure analysis.
  • •Execute incremental and full cold backups/patching and maintain Linux security administration tasks such as user profile/account management.
  • •Implement and maintain DoD STIG requirements and STIG Manager systems, including Linux security patches and firewall configurations.
  • •Monitor enterprise system interface programs, review logs, generate performance metrics/usage charts, and document support procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of experience administering RHEL 7/8 Linux servers and applying Linux best practices.
  • •Experience handling NFS, CIFS, and SMB permissions and working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols (HTTP, FTP, NFS).
  • •Hands-on automation/configuration experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • •Scripting skills for automation (Bash, Ruby, Python, Perl) and use of PowerShell for task automation.
  • •Must possess an active Secret clearance at time of interview and maintain it.
