Key Responsibilities

  • •Benchmark system and database performance, including capacity sizing and optimization.
  • •Troubleshoot application/server errors using logs and triage accordingly.
  • •Recommend configuration tuning/optimizations to address performance bottlenecks.
  • •Work across engineering teams (core, cloud, security) to improve ClickHouse Cloud performance.
  • •Plan and drive Chaos Engineering initiatives, including building tools to run experiments and measure impact.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
  • •Experience with performance analysis, database benchmarking, capacity sizing, and scalability testing.
  • •Software development experience in Go, C/C++, Java, or similar languages.
  • •Experience with concurrency and multithreading for distributed system architectures.
  • •Experience with public cloud infrastructure services and tooling (AWS, GCP, Azure; preferably Kubernetes).
