Job Summary

Supervise poultry processing in the retail or further (value-add) processing departments to ensure procedures meet HACCP, SSOPs, GMP requirements and USDA/OSHA regulations. Lead production-line teams to achieve schedules, efficiencies, yields, and budget objectives, while partnering with Quality Assurance on food safety and sanitary practices. Drive process improvements, manage performance and safety initiatives, and mentor up to 100 employees.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise the retail or further processing production line/department to meet production schedules, increase efficiencies, and achieve budget objectives.
•Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and support ergonomics while ensuring schedules are met.
•Complete and record daily departmental reporting (e.g., attendance/staffing, yields) accurately as required.
•Identify and communicate opportunities for process optimization (throughput, waste reduction, product quality, ergonomics) and address recurring deficiencies.
•Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain a food-safe, sanitary environment and follow USDA requirements; administer performance improvement plans and enforce safety initiatives.

Key Requirements

•1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting; 3+ years in food manufacturing or the poultry industry is preferred.
•1+ years of leadership experience, including timekeeping requirements, policy adherence, conflict resolution, and efficient issue resolution.
•Working knowledge of poultry processing and food safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines, GMP, and HACCP.
•Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers; ability to communicate in multiple languages is preferred.
•High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree with relevant college coursework is preferred.
