Job Summary

Serve as a hands-on enterprise data engineer/consultant partnering with Defense and Intel clients to design, implement, and optimize geospatial database solutions using ArcGIS platforms. You’ll shape data management strategies, lead backend database environments, ensure security and high availability, and guide cross-functional teams through requirements, design, build, and deployment across on-site engagements.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment
•Configure and maintain database environments, including backup, restore, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies
•Monitor and tune database performance using industry-standard tools and methodologies
•Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards across environments

•5+ years of hands-on experience in database design, administration, and optimization for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANA
•Familiarity with database design principles, data loading techniques, backup and recovery solutions, performance monitoring and tuning, database maintenance, and security
•Scripting skills in SQL and Python for automation and data workflows
•Exposure to geospatial concepts such as spatial data types, coordinate systems, and spatial indexing
•Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to technical peers and non-technical project managers or customers
