School Social Worker

Support students and families by managing a caseload, conducting brief assessments, and creating action plans to address social-emotional needs that affect academic achievement. Facilitate family intervention meetings during crises and serve as a liaison for ESSA subgroups, McKinney-Vento, and migrant students while coordinating with external agencies such as Child Protective Services and the Department of Juvenile Justice. Requires a Colorado social work credential, a master’s in social work, and periodic travel.
