Job Summary

Lead and design audit validation activities as part of Northern Trust’s Risk and Control Enhancement transformation program. Manage testing approach and audit scope, run walkthroughs and planning meetings, and coach audit teams. Interpret risk themes with business leaders and senior stakeholders, challenge control design and effectiveness, and drive timely, on-budget execution while drafting findings and executive summaries for issue reporting.

•Develop the testing approach and ensure the audit validation scope is comprehensive and adequate.
•Lead walkthroughs and planning meetings for audit validation activities.
•Provide training, coaching, and auditing expertise to the audit team.
•Execute several audit validations at a time, ensuring work is delivered timely and within budget.
•Lead stakeholder discussions on testing findings, challenge issues, propose root cause, and draft issues and reports including executive summaries.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of related work experience with knowledge of audit procedures and standards, plus a four-year degree program.

•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Ability to manage multiple audit validations simultaneously and ensure timely, within-budget delivery.
•Ability to lead walkthroughs and planning meetings and effectively engage stakeholders on testing results.
