Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the primary legal adviser to DH Land Estates’ business units on corporate and commercial matters, providing pragmatic legal guidance for business growth.
  • •Provide regular briefings, legal risk assessments, and strategic updates to the Head of Legal and contribute substantive input for reporting to ExCom/EMC.
  • •Lead the development, review, and streamlining of corporate and commercial precedent documents, templates, and standard-form agreements.
  • •Negotiate and manage legal documentation for corporate and commercial transactions, including identifying and communicating legal risks and ensuring appropriate mitigation in agreements.
  • •Provide day-to-day mentorship and technical support to junior lawyers, including reviewing work product and supporting complex legal queries.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified as a Solicitor or Barrister in England and Wales and/or another relevant common law jurisdiction.
  • •Thorough knowledge of corporate and commercial laws and practices in Dubai and the UAE, including familiarity with free zone regulations and federal commercial legislation.
  • •Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience with significant exposure to corporate and commercial transactions in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team.
  • •Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and multilingual team environment.
  • •Strong legal writing, drafting, business acumen, and analytical skills to identify risks and propose commercially pragmatic mitigations.
