Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a lead technical contributor on power generation, renewable energy, and transmission and distribution electrical infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction and commissioning.
  • •Develop substation design deliverables including one-line/three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, layouts and grounding grid and lightning protection in conformance with applicable standards and permits.
  • •Perform and validate electrical calculations (loads, equipment sizing, grounding touch/step potentials, short-circuit studies, protective device coordination, protective relaying).
  • •Review third-party design documents and procurement lists, develop plans/specifications/cost estimates, and support compliance documentation and regulatory analysis memos.
  • •Prepare technical reports and presentations, maintain safety plans (HASPs), and provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • •5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer delivering design work for large capital projects.
  • •Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
  • •Proficient knowledge of electrical engineering principles and experience with permitting and project execution issues.
  • •Ability to produce technical calculations and engineering design deliverables and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
