Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise and provide leadership for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and employee engagement.
  • •Ensure the Canfor Operating System (COS) is followed, with emphasis on abnormality response.
  • •Ensure safe and efficient handling and storage of log inventory and manage the log quality program.
  • •Maintain weigh scale and scaling practices, ensure an adequate log diet, and maintain log yard/waste yards per the Environment Management System.
  • •Supervise log yard and mobile shop employees and oversee site and environmental compliance with Ministry of Environment and Worksafe BC regulations.
