Job Summary

Lead the architecture and evolution of a healthcare interoperability platform that enables secure data exchange across EMR/EHR, practice management, labs, payers, and partners. Own mission-critical integrations using HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA/CCDA, and X12/EDI, working with Rhapsody/Mirth Connect/Cloverleaf/Corepoint. Drive reliability, security, incident response, and SLIs/SLOs, and mentor engineers while partnering across Product, R&D, QA, Implementation, and Customer Success.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the architecture, design, and evolution of interoperability solutions spanning multiple healthcare systems.
•Build and maintain integration services across HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA/CCDA, X12/EDI, REST, and SOAP, using Python/Go/Java.
•Drive reliability and operational excellence for production integrations, including retries, idempotent processing, monitoring/alerting, auditing, and incident root-cause analysis.
•Define SLIs/SLOs and optimize performance, cost, and disaster recovery for high-volume healthcare transaction processing.
•Mentor engineers and partner cross-functionally with Product, Implementation, R&D, QA, and Customer Success to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of professional software engineering experience building enterprise integrations or healthcare interoperability solutions.
•Hands-on expertise with HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA/CCDA, X12/EDI, and healthcare messaging workflows.
•Experience with integration engines such as Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, Cloverleaf, Corepoint, or similar platforms.
•Strong backend skills in Python, Go, or Java, plus SQL and relational database experience (query optimization, stored procedures, data modeling, ETL).
•Experience designing RESTful APIs and SOAP services, and building/operating cloud-native systems on AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
