Key Responsibilities

  • •Adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
  • •Provide reliable data and rock-solid analysis to support real-time decisions for the Performance & Improvement team.
  • •Interpret operational performance across cost, reliability, throughput and risk, and synthesize trends into clear decision-relevant insights.
  • •Develop and apply bottleneck/restriction analysis tools to focus improvement effort where value is highest.
  • •Build performance tracking dashboards using tools like Excel and Power BI and support CI standardization, training, and executive materials.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution for the full co-op term and plan to return for at least one academic term.
  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in mining engineering (preferred), chemical/metallurgical engineering (preferred), or geological/mechanical/industrial/civil engineering.
  • •Strong quantitative and analytical skills with comfort using statistical techniques and large operational datasets.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively and tell clear stories with decision-relevant insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • •Comfort working in ambiguous settings and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
