Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare metallographic specimens (sectioning, mounting, and polishing).
  • •Evaluate specimens per test procedures (e.g., case depth, IGA, grain size, weld evaluation).
  • •Perform hardness testing (Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers, Knoop) and assist with mechanical testing as needed.
  • •Assist with SEM analysis as needed and document test results in test reports.
  • •Maintain lab equipment and environment, modify/write lab procedures, and support manufacturing process troubleshooting and control.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 69,000 - 101,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • •Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or testing environment.
  • •Ability to prepare and analyze metallurgical and chemical lab tests using established procedures.
  • •Familiarity with materials testing and attention to detail in documenting results.
  • •Must be a U.S. person due to access to export-controlled information; Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
