Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and own the long-term technical strategy for Platform Systems, translating it into an executable roadmap for reliability, scalability, capacity, cost efficiency, and AI stack modernization.
  • •Set engineering excellence standards for AIMS by owning observability, reliability practices, on-call hygiene, and engineering norms that raise the bar across the org.
  • •Own observability, evaluation, and tooling subsystems that support next-generation ML architecture, extending them into everyday engineering workflows to reduce friction.
  • •Hire, develop, and retain a team across seniority levels, fostering strong technical contributors into senior leaders.
  • •Partner with director-level stakeholders across AIMS and infrastructure teams to guide AI stack modernization and align migration efforts across functions.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience leading platform or infrastructure engineering organizations operating distributed systems at scale.
  • •Strong technical depth in distributed systems, able to engage credibly on architecture, tradeoffs, and design decisions.
  • •Hands-on experience building subsystems for advanced agentic architectures (e.g., memory, trace, eval, replay pipelines) and/or orchestration/routing layers beyond basic LLM API integration.
  • •Experience with ML infrastructure at scale, including operational complexity of online and offline model training pipelines and serving demands.
  • •Track record of building high-performing engineering teams and improving reliability, reducing infrastructure costs, and accelerating engineering velocity.
