Key Responsibilities

  • •Forecast and communicate materials and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
  • •Coordinate demand signals through MRP and manage the product development process deliverables through matrix management.
  • •Collaborate with engineering to interpret requirements and create, release, and update new project materials strategy under some supervision.
  • •Support supplier sourcing, including price/delivery negotiations (under direct supervision as needed), supplier selection, and supplier risk assessment.
  • •Execute commercialization materials plans, manage materials change control, track key process indicators and landed cost targets, and resolve supplier quality issues.

  • •Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
  • •Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
  • •Support outsourcing decisions using make versus buy analysis.
  • •Perform supplier risk assessment and monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost).
