  • •Lead freedom-to-operate assessments relevant to drug development, commercialization, and strategic transactions, identifying and mitigating risk.

Key Requirements

  • •J.D. from an accredited law school with admission to at least one U.S. state bar, eligible to practice in California (or able to obtain a limited license for in-house counsel).
  • •Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
  • •8+ years of pharmaceutical or life sciences IP experience, ideally at a top firm and/or in-house.
  • •Advanced degree in organic or medicinal chemistry (or related scientific discipline) is a strong differentiator.
  • •Experience in adversarial proceedings (including on both sides of the border) and ability to translate technical/legal complexity into clear business advice.
