Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as a subject matter expert on Colorado ECMC regulations and implementation procedures, including interpreting and communicating requirements for environmental investigation, remediation, reclamation, groundwater protection, waste management, and spill response/reporting.
  • •Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impacts to AECOM projects.
  • •Advise project teams on permitting and compliance obligations, conduct regulatory reviews of plans/reports/permit applications, and support regulatory inquiries.
  • •Develop and conduct compliance audits and assessments aligned with ECMC and other regulatory requirements; assist with interaction among ECMC, the client, and stakeholders.
  • •Support training and leadership by developing training programs, mentoring internal staff, and creating internal guidance documents, procedures, and compliance tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related technical discipline.
  • •10+ years of experience in environmental regulatory compliance, site assessment, and remediation (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Extensive knowledge of Colorado ECMC rules, policies, and regulatory processes for upstream oil and gas.
  • •5+ years of oil and gas industry experience and 2+ years of experience with Colorado ECMC regulation.
  • •Experience preparing and submitting ECMC forms and associated deliverables.
