Job Summary

Build and evolve Netflix partner enablement web applications that support the partner product lifecycle on “10-foot” devices. Work with product and design teams to scope solutions, revamp legacy systems, and streamline end-to-end user experiences. Tackle complex microservice systems, prototypes, refactoring vs. rebuilding tradeoffs, and operational ownership while collaborating across a cross-functional team to bring #NetflixEverywhere.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive new technical solutions across teams from requirements through application deployment.
•Collaborate with product managers and the design team to scope and shape product decisions.
•Revamp and update existing web applications, applying a “paved path” solution.
•Enhance and maintain applications for partners and internal stakeholders while streamlining user experiences.
•Operate in a cross-functional environment, removing technical debt and making decisions for long-term effectiveness.

Key Requirements

•Extensive experience in software development with strong back-end development skills.
•Strong programming skills in at least one backend language; JVM languages (Java, Scala, or Kotlin) strongly preferred.
•Experience with microservice architecture, including operating and troubleshooting complex systems.
•Experience maintaining and improving legacy systems; evaluate tradeoffs across refactor vs rebuild vs buy.
•Ability to learn and use in-house software frameworks/components/services to build solutions effectively.
