Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead supplier technical development and performance improvement for critical mechanical commodities, driving readiness from prototype through production ramp-up.
  • •Assess supplier capabilities and manufacturing readiness via capability assessments, process audits, capacity analyses, and onsite technical evaluations.
  • •Serve as the primary technical interface between suppliers and internal Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program teams.
  • •Lead supplier industrialization, tooling readiness, process validation, qualification documentation review, and First Article Inspection coordination (AS9102).
  • •Drive technical problem-solving and recovery using structured root-cause methods, approve manufacturing documentation, and support corrective actions and alternate-source strategies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • •7+ years of experience in supplier development, manufacturing engineering, supplier quality engineering, quality engineering, or a related role within aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • •Demonstrated experience developing suppliers and resolving complex manufacturing, quality, capacity, or delivery issues.
  • •Technical experience with aerospace flight-critical mechanical commodities such as airframe/structural assemblies, landing gear, precision-machined components, turbine engines/propulsion systems, and special processes.
  • •Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings (including GD&T), and aerospace quality/inspection requirements (including AS9102 First Article Inspection).
