Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and evolve two-way sync with systems of record (e.g., Jira, Linear, Asana) so canvas decisions and tracked work stay in sync.
  • •Design, build, and maintain integrations across Microsoft ecosystem tools (Teams, Outlook, Office), video conferencing platforms, and notification targets like Slack/Teams.
  • •Develop and evolve Mural’s integration platform frameworks, services, and patterns used by other teams.
  • •Own content pathways in and out of Mural, including imports, image panels and APIs (e.g., Unsplash), copy/paste, file upload handling, iFrame embedding, PDF conversion, and exports/downloads.
  • •Maintain and support the public API with backwards-compatibility, lead end-to-end projects (research/POC through execution and iteration), and ensure quality, performance, reliability, and security across system boundaries.

Key Requirements

  • •Fluency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with React, Node.js, or similar frameworks.
  • •Hands-on experience integrating with third-party APIs and platforms, including OAuth/token lifecycles, webhooks, rate limiting/backoff, pagination, versioning, and graceful degradation.
  • •5+ years building and shipping large-scale production software on an agile engineering team.
  • •Strong track record designing and delivering scalable, high-performance systems.
  • •Experience planning technical projects and delivering new systems/features iteratively; strong collaboration and communication for leading technical discussions.
