Job Summary

Design and build the Kubernetes-based infrastructure primitives and CRE control-plane components that enable deterministic, horizontally scalable execution for Chainlink Decentralized Oracle Networks (DONs). Create reusable Kubernetes Operators and scaling automation used by product teams and potentially by external node operators, improving reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency as demand grows. This is a build-focused SRE/platform role, not an operations support position.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and build infrastructure primitives that define how Chainlink DONs scale across internal systems and the decentralized ecosystem
•Help create the CRE Kubernetes-based control plane enabling deterministic horizontal scaling, safe/repeatable expansion, and improved operational efficiency
•Develop core infrastructure components, including Kubernetes Operators and scaling automation, for adoption by product teams and potential distribution to external node operators
•Codify scaling logic into reusable operators and automation to ensure CRE scales safely, predictably, and efficiently as demand grows
•Shape reliability, scalability, and decentralization of protocol-level services through the systems you build

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 129,000 - 304,000 annually

Key Requirements

•6–9+ years in SRE / Platform / Infrastructure Engineering
•Proven experience scaling Kubernetes in high-throughput production environments
•Deep knowledge of Kubernetes scheduling, StatefulSets & persistent workloads, autoscaling (HPA, VPA, KEDA, custom scaling), and resource/performance tuning
•Experience diagnosing production failures at the cluster scale
•Strong Terraform or Crossplane experience, with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD / Flux) and CI/CD reliability experience
