Key Responsibilities

  • •Validate reports, dashboards, and aggregated metrics before they reach customers by reconciling with upstream APIs and raw source data.
  • •Independently verify calculations and document/clarify business metric definitions when ambiguous.
  • •Design and implement automated data quality checks (e.g., with Soda), monitoring freshness, volume, distribution, and business expectations.
  • •Test pipeline components by validating Airflow DAGs and Databricks jobs, including scheduling, dependencies, backfills, and failure recovery.
  • •Create automated/manual API tests for REST and GraphQL, and clearly document investigations, defects, and testing results while collaborating with engineering, product, and analytics.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of QA experience with strong SQL skills to independently write complex queries.
  • •Experience validating data against an upstream source of truth and investigating reporting/data discrepancies.
  • •Comfortable working with raw API payloads and testing REST APIs.
  • •2+ years of automation experience focused on data validation.
  • •Experience with Playwright (or Selenium/Cypress with willingness to transition).
