Join Akamai’s Application & API Security team as a Senior Solution Architect, working hands-on with enterprise customers to design, integrate, and optimize API Security solutions. You’ll lead deployments across cloud and Kubernetes environments, resolve integration issues across networking and API gateways, and support operationalization of Akamai API Security. The role includes analyzing API traffic, building architecture diagrams and runbooks, and leading technical enablement sessions and architectural reviews.

Key Responsibilities

•Integrate and lead deployment of the API Security Platform and components across diverse enterprise ecosystems.
•Resolve deployment problems across Kubernetes, virtual appliances, cloud infrastructure, networking, API gateways, authentication flows, hybrid architectures, and distributed applications.
•Partner with customer engineering, DevOps, cloud, networking, or security teams to deploy and operationalize Akamai API Security Platform.
•Analyze API traffic to identify misconfigurations, authentication gaps, and performance bottlenecks.
•Develop enterprise architecture diagrams, integration patterns, deployment plans, and operational runbooks; lead customer workshops and technical enablement sessions.

Key Requirements

•Over 6 years of technical experience with customer-facing skills.
•Extensive experience architecting IaaS solutions for customers.
•Professional certifications from AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle and/or CNCF.
•Experience troubleshooting distributed cloud-native applications across infrastructure, networking, and application layers.
•Hands-on experience with virtualization and containerized environments such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Helm, and/or classic enterprise infrastructure (Linux, VMware/OVA).
