Job Summary

IT Systems Engineer to support SpaceX’s enterprise IT platforms, focusing on Windows/Linux, Active Directory and network services in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment requiring TS clearance and occasional travel. You’ll design, deploy and harden scalable systems for SpaceX’s engineering teams, apply standards, and drive automation and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Work closely with SpaceX IT administrators and engineers to gather requirements, research, evaluate, design, plan, deploy, and support enterprise software platforms and related technologies; build highly-resilient, high-performance, scalable, and flexible systems.
•Apply lessons learned and standards from SpaceX Enterprise to smaller air-gapped environments.
•Take responsibility for the processes, systems, and tools you create and manage to support interplanetary missions.
•Make recommendations, justify, and implement improvements using an accepted change control methodology.
•Collaborate across internal business units to design and deliver solutions and resolve issues promptly.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 130,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5+ years of experience in IT systems; or 7+ years of experience in IT systems in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
•3+ years of experience with Windows servers in physical and virtualized enterprise level environments.
•3+ years of experience with Active Directory, Kerberos, and multi-platform authentication/identification environments.
•1+ years of experience with networking technologies and the Linux operating system environment.
•1+ year of scripting experience.
