Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and quality for assigned substation projects.
  • •Grow and manage relationships with local clients and support project reporting and proposal development.
  • •Perform and direct detailed design work for medium to extra-high-voltage substations, including diagrams, layouts, grounding, lightning protection, and bills of materials.
  • •Conduct substation studies and calculations (e.g., AC/DC, lightning analysis, voltage drop) and specify/select equipment.
  • •Support construction with interdisciplinary coordination and provide mentorship/training for team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • •7 to 10 years of post-education experience designing capital projects for power generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • •Experience designing 15kV through 345kV physical and electrical substations and working with IEEE/ANSI standards.
  • •Proven experience in project leadership for several projects concurrently, including managing project teams.
  • •Proficiency in electrical engineering principles, process/design for permitting and project issues, plus strong interpersonal and communication skills.
