Job Summary

Associate role leading ecological inputs and technical delivery across UK&I projects, providing leadership on ecological assessments, mentoring, and bid/tender activity within a hybrid work environment. You’ll manage habitat and species surveys, Habitats Regulations Assessments, Biodiversity Net Gain calculations, and client engagement while developing technical capabilities and fostering innovation across the Ecology team.

Job Function: Executive & General Management

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the planning and delivery of ecological inputs for both internal and external clients.
•Produce and technically review ecological assessments including Preliminary Ecological Appraisal; Protected Species Baseline Reports; Ecological Impact Assessments; Habitats Regulations Assessment; Biodiversity Net Gain Calculations.
•Provide technical leadership to support the delivery of proportionate and pragmatic solutions.
•Lead consultation and engagement with clients and key project stakeholders including planning authorities, statutory bodies and the public.
•Mentor and support both junior staff and peers.

Key Requirements

•Demonstrable experience in planning and delivery of ecological services on projects in the UK or Ireland.
•Well-developed understanding of relevant wildlife conservation.
•Membership of an appropriate professional institution and evidence of working towards Chartership (such as CIEEM or related).
•Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area including any protected species licences.
•A proactive approach to Health and Safety.
