Perform preventive and light corrective maintenance to keep the feed mill/grain elevator running. Install new equipment and alter existing equipment as directed, troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, and support proper repair planning. Maintain and adjust bag house filtering devices and repair scales and load cells. Follow Smithfield procedures, comply with environmental laws, and review the site emergency notification policy.

Key Responsibilities

•Work safely according to Smithfield procedures and guidance.
•Perform daily preventive and light corrective maintenance on mill equipment, including proper lubrication selection and amounts.
•Troubleshoot and diagnose feed mill/grain elevator equipment problems and assist in planning and executing repairs.
•Maintain and adjust bag house filtering devices.
•Comply with environmental laws and procedures, report environmental issues, and understand/review the emergency notification process for the work site.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 27.95 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED and 2+ years relevant experience and/or training, required.
•Able to read, write, and speak English and follow instructions.
•Able to work weekends and holidays.
•Welding and electrical skills required, including 3-phase (480 volts).
•Knowledge of PLC automation, plus basic computer skills and general mechanical equipment knowledge.
