Job Summary

Build agentic AI and GenAI tools for a global payments organization, taking ownership from early prototypes to production-grade systems. Design and deploy LLM-powered agents that handle complex, multi-step tasks, and lead evaluation and benchmarking with internal infrastructure grounded in real domain edge cases. Serve as an AI technical resource across teams while raising engineering standards through mentorship, reproducibility, and rigorous code review.

Key Responsibilities

•Engage with product and engineering teams to discover high-impact AI opportunities and rapidly design/build AI prototypes (MVPs).
•Own end-to-end development of bespoke AI tools that solve problems across payments workflows, merchant experience, and pricing models.
•Define and lead evaluation strategy for agentic systems and LLMs, including internal benchmarks, edge cases, and failure-mode analysis with reusable evaluation infrastructure.
•Provide AI expertise across the organization by evaluating agentic frameworks and retrieval/search and tool-use approaches across partner teams.
•Set engineering standards for the AI team and company, mentoring via problem decomposition, research methodology, and code review while championing documentation and reproducibility.

Key Requirements

•3-6 years of hands-on experience in applied AI/ML research or engineering, with shipped AI systems (agentic or LLM-powered) in production.
•Deep expertise in language models and Generative AI, including areas like architecture, post-training (fine-tuning, RLHF), inference optimization, and RAG.
•Proven experience designing and operating agentic systems at scale, including multi-agent orchestration, tool use, memory/context management, and human-in-the-loop design.
•Strong, rigorous evaluation experience: designing evaluation frameworks or internal benchmarks beyond standard metrics, including failure modes for LLM-as-judge approaches.
•Hands-on Python engineering experience for production-ready code, plus experience with at least one production-grade agentic framework.
