Job Summary

Lead strategic financial planning and reporting for the Rail & Inland Terminals business unit. Drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, implement financial systems, ensure SOX controls and tax compliance, and advise leadership on growth initiatives and operational efficiency from the Boardroom to the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

•Strategy, Planning and Management: Assess and evaluate financial performance, provide insight and recommendations to growth plans, and establish yearly financial objectives aligned with growth.
•Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and present monthly budgeting reports, review results and advise on initiatives and budgets.
•Accounting, General Ledger, Administration and Operations: Oversee month-end close, GL reviews, tax returns, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
•Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with Board of Directors, CEO and Executive Leadership; coordinate weekly calls with management and vendors.
•Systems, Automation and Compliance: Identify and implement systems for financial information, automate processes, ensure audits and regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
•Experience in managing and improving financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
•Ability to identify, acquire and implement systems to provide critical financial information
•Knowledge of internal controls, SOX compliance and financial procedures
•Strong communication and interaction with Board of Directors and Executive Leadership
