Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair a range of truck equipment including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and evaluate defective equipment using test instruments; road test vehicles to confirm malfunctions and proper operation.
  • •Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle and parts inventory; perform safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and all repair documentation on time, including recording findings and uploading pictures of work performed on Repair Orders (ROs) using the iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination including degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply the hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Successfully complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license with ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
