Key Responsibilities

  • •Directly supervise all compounding personnel.
  • •Perform, accurately document, and oversee compounding procedures, QA/QC checks, and dispensing of compounded preparations.
  • •Develop and evaluate standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the compounding lab and formulations.
  • •Oversee calibration, maintenance, and use of compounding equipment and monitor the compounding environment.
  • •Work with R&D to develop and scale up new compounded formulations, while ensuring compliance with USP/BOP/internal guidelines and coordinating compliance/regulatory matters with the Pharmacist-in-charge (PIC).

Key Requirements

  • •Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • •Active Pharmacist license in Ohio.
  • •Familiarity and experience with pharmacy and compounding equipment.
  • •Knowledge of USP 795, USP 800, other USP general chapters, and best compounding practices.
  • •Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems and ability to undergo respirator fit testing as required.
