Key Responsibilities

  • •Diagnose hardware and network issues remotely.
  • •Facilitate server repairs with ISPs and field engineers to fix issues.
  • •Coordinate return of Akamai equipment back to the warehouse/vendors.
  • •Work with the hardware engineering team to identify and resolve hardware issues after deployment.
  • •Monitor hardware failure patterns and proactively report to hardware engineering and vendors; manage Akamai hardware assets.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in technology or related field, or relevant professional experience.
  • •1+ years of hands-on network and server hardware experience in fault diagnosis.
  • •Basic knowledge of server hardware technologies such as hard drives, RAMs, motherboards, and RAID.
  • •Basic knowledge of layer 1 and 2 troubleshooting skills, OSI Model, and Unix/Linux CLI.
  • •Exposure to data center technologies and infrastructure.
