Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and support settlement negotiations in complex product liability, mass tort, toxic tort, and consumer product litigation matters.
  • •Develop settlement structures and eligibility criteria and ensure settlements are executed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with legal requirements.
  • •Work with plaintiffs’ counsel to negotiate, draft, review, and finalize settlement-related documents, including resolving claimant disputes or appeals.
  • •Manage teams of nurse paralegals and other attorneys to review and assess qualification and categorization of incoming claims.
  • •Oversee settlement implementation and claims administration, including workflow/quality assurance, and perform data analysis to monitor values and identify trends.

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • •Active and in good standing with the local state Bar, or eligible to waive in.
  • •Minimum of 8 years of significant experience practicing law, focused on mass torts in drug, medical device, and/or consumer products, including at least three years of litigation practice at a law firm.
  • •Claims resolution experience, preferably involving pharmaceutical products, medical devices, or consumer health/consumer-facing products.
  • •Familiarity with matter management systems and claims administration platforms, including AI-enabled claim review platforms (preferred), plus experience drafting/reviewing and negotiating settlement documents.
