Key Responsibilities

  • •Align ALM strategic development directions with business strategy, product, investment, actuarial, finance, and risks functions across INSH and Group.
  • •Review and contribute to ALM views on Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), and evaluate new product and investment initiatives plus medium-to-long term balance sheet enhancement.
  • •Identify and support ALM risk appetite and develop ALM optimization under IFRS 17 and local solvency regimes, leveraging regulatory and financial risk capacity.
  • •Drive the ALM community and lead ALM strategic developments, framework, and capability building at INSH within the Group ALM hub.
  • •Oversee ALM exercises, manage local ALM team, and coordinate projects including ALM Risk Monitoring MI implementation and ALM model/platform development.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified actuary with senior experience in life insurance companies or consultancy firms in a similar role.
  • •Knowledge of IFRS 17 reporting and CROSS II; knowledge of Hong Kong or Singapore local regulatory solvency requirements is an asset.
  • •Experience with derivatives hedging and investment.
  • •Ability to drive projects with clear frameworks, deliverables, and effective stakeholder engagement and management.
  • •Strong influencing, communication, and quantitative/analytical skills, including the ability to think creatively.
