Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, air conditioning, steering, engine, transmission, clutches, differentials, and related systems.
  • •Use test instruments, road tests, and sound judgment to identify malfunctions and determine appropriate repair actions.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including safety checks, pre-/post-trip inspections, and reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT and company documentation (including repair orders with photos) and ensure all work complies with safety, health, environmental, and federal regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED plus 5 years’ experience in a related field (or a different combination such as degree/certification with 3 years experience; or 7 years experience preferred).
  • •Experience with refrigerated equipment (at least 3 years).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for required job duties.
  • •Ability to perform DOT/FMCSA-regulated work and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card).
  • •Hold required certifications or obtain within 18 months (including ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609).
