Job Summary

Design and develop OEM multi-kW AC/DC and DC/DC chassis power systems, from requirements through qualification and production. You’ll work hands-on in the lab to characterize power supplies, support dual-grid and redundant power architectures, and apply analog/power circuit expertise to system-level power distribution. Partner with OEM vendors and international teams, coordinate with mechanical and compliance stakeholders, and write technical reports while traveling internationally as needed.

•Define, develop, source, and qualify OEM power supplies to meet product and market requirements as part of the project team.
•Spend time hands-on in the lab characterizing new power supplies.
•Design and support dual grid and redundant AC or DC power systems, applying analog and power circuit design knowledge to system qualification.
•Write clear technical reports and communicate technical issues to power teams, software engineers, and non-technical stakeholders.
•Collaborate with vendor engineering teams abroad and lead projects from concept through production; work with mechanical and compliance teams to meet regulatory standards, and consult on best testing practices for compliance.

Key Requirements

•MS in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
•Experience with regulatory processes for designing and certifying power supplies in commercial electronics.
•Strong knowledge of AC-DC and DC-DC design issues, system-level power distribution, and industry best practices.
•Experience sourcing power supplies from 100 Watts to 3000 Watts with both AC and DC input power.
•Experience designing large modular systems delivering total power up to ~30 kW, including familiarity with 54V to 12V IBC 1–3 kW converter bricks and PCB power distribution layouts.
