Job Summary

Transport freshly mixed concrete from the plant to job sites safely, operating a mixer truck on highways, roads, yard areas, and at job locations. Perform required pre-trip inspections, complete driver check-off documentation, and adjust equipment based on load weight and operating instructions. Assist with receiving concrete, chute assembly, and basic maintenance tasks to keep the truck clean and functional while following DOT and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Transport freshly mixed concrete from the plant to job sites safely.
•Comply with Department of Transportation requirements, including licensing, vehicle inspection, and hours of service.
•Operate the truck safely and professionally on public highways, roads, and at job sites; maneuver to deliver concrete and back under the batching plant or hopper to receive concrete.
•Inspect the truck at the start of each workday and complete the Driver Check-off Sheet.
•Climb on the mixer truck to inspect the load and drum, assemble concrete chutes, and perform basic maintenance/cleaning to prevent concrete buildup; follow written and verbal instructions and complete paperwork as needed.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required.
•Must be 18 years or older.
•Must possess and maintain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
•Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
•Must possess and maintain a valid Medical Card as per DOT requirements.
