Job Summary

Provide expert legal support for TikTok’s competition and antitrust matters. You will advise business and legal partners on investigations, third-party subpoenas and CIDs, and competition compliance programs, while tracking antitrust developments across the US and globally. The role coordinates with outside counsel and international antitrust colleagues and reports into TikTok’s Global Head of Antitrust in New York, supporting product, investment, and acquisition guidance.

Key Responsibilities

•Demonstrate expertise in antitrust/competition law by reviewing, interpreting, and analyzing relevant legal information.
•Track and synthesize antitrust developments and trends in the US and worldwide.
•Manage governmental antitrust/competition inquiries, including direct communications with antitrust authorities and supervision of outside counsel.
•Advise business and legal colleagues on competition/antitrust topics, including product guidance and compliance policies, and support investment/acquisition matters.
•Lead responses to antitrust third-party subpoenas and CIDs and support the broader litigation team.

Key Requirements

•In-depth competition/antitrust law experience in private practice or a corporate law department, preferably with experience in digital platforms and tech issues.
•J.D. from an accredited US law school and admission to the bar of at least one US jurisdiction.
•Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
•Ability to communicate legal issues clearly and simply to a wide range of stakeholders.
•Experience acting as a competition/antitrust advisor on issues such as investments and acquisitions, including foreign direct investment laws.
