Job Summary

Build and evolve the Federal Platform layer that underpins Abnormal’s GovCloud environment. You’ll lead FedRAMP High cloud infrastructure on AWS, create reusable Terraform modules and platform patterns, and make architectural decisions across compute, networking, and services. Partner with FedRAMP, compliance, and other engineering teams to reduce environment drift, improve deployment readiness, and raise operational excellence through better monitoring, alerting, documentation, and incident readiness.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the build-out and evolution of FedRAMP High cloud infrastructure for the GovCloud environment on AWS.
•Design and maintain reusable Terraform modules, infrastructure patterns, and platform standards to make changes safer and more repeatable.
•Drive architectural decisions across compute, networking, and service design, balancing compliance and operational simplicity with parity to commercial systems.
•Partner with FedRAMP, compliance, and engineering teams to reduce environment drift and improve deployment readiness between Gov and commercial.
•Raise the operational bar for GovCloud with monitoring, alerting, documentation, and incident readiness, reducing toil and improving maintainability.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 179,800 - 258,500

Key Requirements

•7+ years operating public cloud environments with deep hands-on AWS expertise.
•Strong, production-grade Terraform experience, including building and debugging IaC modules from scratch.
•Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads in production.
•Experience working in or building toward compliance-constrained environments such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
•Comfort reading and writing Python or Go for infrastructure automation; ability to actively use AI in engineering workflows beyond a coding assistant.
