Job Summary

Build Alpaca’s algo trading platform for high-performance brokerage experiences. You’ll work on both frontend and backend, designing distributed systems and databases while making critical architecture decisions in a small, early-stage team. The role spans low- to high-level performance work, concurrency and scalability, and implementing Order Management (OMS) and Risk Management (RMS) capabilities for trading users.

•Design and architect Alpaca’s algo trading platform for high-quality, high-performance brokerage experiences.
•Build across frontend and backend, working with databases and distributed systems.
•Write significant amounts of code and make critical engineering decisions for customer experience.
•Develop robust, low-latency systems with strong concurrency and scalability characteristics.
•Build and implement Order Management (OMS) and Risk Management (RMS) system capabilities.
