Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the full SCM environment, including applications, OS, and server hardware components, and drive automation/innovation for a large environment.
  • •Create solutions to improve reliability and performance and work with automated orchestration tools to roll out improvements to hundreds of systems worldwide.
  • •Collaborate with a global team to evaluate technology alternatives, specify solutions, craft schedules, and lead ongoing enhancements and support.
  • •Lead or contribute to GitLab upgrades and migrations, architectural reviews and design docs, and root-cause analysis with systemic fixes.
  • •Improve daily productivity for globally distributed chip designers and software engineers by managing and administering SCM systems and applications.

Key Requirements

  • •MS (preferred) or BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) with at least 3+ years of experience.
  • •Deep understanding of SCM processes and large-scale, multi-site GitLab environments; experience with Perforce, Subversion, or ClearCase is a plus.
  • •Configured/deployed CI/CD systems in prior experience.
  • •Strong scripting and object-oriented skills (Object Oriented Perl or Python preferred; also Python or Ruby), with strong software engineering process and familiarity with design patterns.
  • •Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and DevOps/system administration on Linux (Rocky Linux 8, CentOS/RHEL, Ubuntu preferred), plus automation experience (Ansible or Puppet preferred).
