Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Lead architecture and design discussions; bootstrap or implement strategic customer projects to enable Databricks adoption.
•Deliver end-to-end engagements including reference architectures, how-tos, and production-grade MVPs/greenfield projects.
•Guide strategic customers through big data transformations and migrations, including design, build, and deployment.
•Provide escalated support for customer operational issues and coordinate with engineering and support teams for rapid resolution.
•Collaborate with project managers, architects, and customer teams to ensure successful delivery aligned with customer needs.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•8+ years experience with Big Data Technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Cloud Native and Data Lakes in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architecture or consulting role.
•Comfortable writing code in either Python or Scala.
•Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines.
•Documentation and white-boarding skills.
•Travel to customers 20 - 30% of the time.
