Key Responsibilities

  • •Authorize and review utilization of mental health and substance abuse services in inpatient and/or outpatient care settings.
  • •Collect and analyze utilization data and monitor level-of-care services for medical necessity and effectiveness.
  • •Provide telephone triage, crisis intervention, and emergency authorizations as assigned.
  • •Perform concurrent reviews for inpatient/outpatient care and other levels of care within scope of practice.
  • •Develop discharge plans with providers and facilities, oversee implementation, and participate in quality improvement activities and network development.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 64,285 - 102,855 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a current license meeting State, Commonwealth, or customer-specific requirements (CEAP, LMSW, LCSW, LSW, LPC, or RN).
  • •Minimum 2 years of post-degree experience in healthcare/behavioral health/psychiatric or substance abuse care settings.
  • •Strong organization, time management, and communication skills.
  • •Knowledge of utilization management procedures and mental health/substance abuse community resources and providers.
  • •Knowledge and experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings; ability to work with DSM V or the most current diagnostic edition.
